Abigail Sandberg joined Ann P. Stokes Landscape Architects in the Fall of 2017. Her project responsibilities include site analysis, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation and construction administration for a range of project types. 

 

Currently, Ms. Sandberg is helping to design and coordinate the planting and site design for a hotel to be built in Virginia Beach; as well as contributing to the site design for theU.S. Courthouse Modernization and Annex of the Charles R. Jonas U.S. Courthouse, Charlotte, NC. Ms. Sandberg works on our presentations as well as assisting with updating the firm's marketing materials.

 

Before coming to APSLA, Ms. Sandberg was an Urban Planner/Designer at a Norfolk based landscape architecture firm designing infrastructure redevelopment strategies for cities plagued with underutilized industrial land. These large-scale projects were funded through the EPA's Brownfield Area-Wide Plan and Technical Assistance grants. She was responsible for stakeholder outreach and communication, site analysis, market research, site design, drafting, writing and report compilation. 

 

Ms. Sandberg received her Masters of Urban and Environmental Planning with a special interest in urban ecological design from the University of Virginia in 2016. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in fine arts and environmental studies from the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
